Hello Sailor!
Spring is approaching quickly and boy do we notice it!
Besides the first delivery of batched manufactured self steering systems quite a few orders for Navik Parts are coming in.
On top of that, I'll be moving house shortly, adding more work to an already busy schedule.
But here is the most important news:
* New payment options
If you have visited the Mister Vee website over the weekend you may have already noticed, Mister Vee now offer new payment options:

The Mister Vee Batched manufacturing discount
Submitted by Captain Vee on Wed, 2012-11-07 15:41Hello Sailor!
In the October issue of the Mister Vee newsletter I mentioned that from 2013 onwards, the self steering systems will be manufactured in batches. In this issue I'll explain things further.
Until now all systems were delivered as soon as possible after the order had been placed.
For some orders that meant that quite a lot of effort went in to the logistics of getting just that single order ready. Small details could require spending a lot of extra time to get an order out the door.
Winds of change at Mister Vee

- A new way of manufacturing and delivering
- Price changes
Hello Sailor!
Mister Vee is steering towards a newly organised manufacturing and delivery practice.
Almost from the start, all the Mister Vee systems were packed and shipped by a company that employed people with small disabilities.
For quite a few years this went very well. As long as I was able to keep the parts in stock, things usually ran smoothly.
But in 2012 this changed very quickly.
A thank you note of the best kind
Submitted by Captain Vee on Wed, 2012-07-25 17:04As most people in business, I get a request to do a bit of sponsoring every now and then.
A proposal from the Sailing conductors had a lot of merit.
We made the deal, and both parties were happy.
I got a promise for some good exposure and they had a new self steering system to replace their tired Navik and could continue their trip around the world, recording music wherever they landed.
Besides the link on their website and other normal sponsorship things they said they'd do a video.
Well, they have and it is the biggest thank you anyone in business can hope for:
The Mister Veedeo competition 2012
Submitted by Captain Vee on Thu, 2011-12-29 13:09Hello Sailor!
2012 is closing in and for Mister Vee that means the Mister Veedeo competition is about to start.
For the second time you will be able to win a Y&B windvane self steering system by making a short video.
The video has to be made to a theme that will be published on January 1st 2012.
The competition will be slightly different from last year when Nathan W. won after a thrilling final.
So dust of your camera, charge the batteries, start up your video editing equipment and get ready for the 2012 Mister Veedeo competition!
New version of Y&B
Submitted by Captain Vee on Tue, 2011-06-21 16:28Hello sailor!
If your boat has a very specific mounting problem, even the versatile mounting kit that is part of Y&B self steering system may not provide a solution.
Or maybe it is better than you feel the need to pay for.
For these situations Y&B is now also available in a basic version. The mounting kit and vane base have been left out so you only get the super sensitive running gear.
Design and build your own mounting and save a bundle!
Basic Y&B is available from the webshop:

Mister Navik self steering?
Submitted by Captain Vee on Wed, 2011-06-15 14:41Hello Sailor!
Before Mister Vee started selling windvane self steering systems, Navik was the prime choice for setting up self steering for the smaller boats out there.
But at the very moment the final version of Mr. Vane was introduced in 2007, Plastimo stopped selling their complete Navik units.
There are still quite a few Navik self self steering systems in use but spares have been a bit hard to get.
Mister Vee now offer an alternative!

*New layout for the Mister Vee home page*
In the period since the new website was launched, the arrangement of the information got a bit cluttered. So as part of some spring cleaning, we made an effort to find a new way of presenting things.
We have made the home page more of a newspaper style front page where you can find the most important information at a glance in small blocks. Click the link in the block to find the rest of the information.
